This apprenticeship helps you become a certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), providing a portable credential to advance your career.

Whether you're new or experienced, Walgreens will train you to serve and care for our patients and customers. Our training program includes courses, activities, and resources to prepare you for certification and a successful career in pharmacy.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist the pharmacist in accordance with state and federal regulations, under supervision, and perform other pharmacy duties per company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist with pharmacy operations if PTCB certified.
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, resolving issues, and developing relationships.

Additional duties:

• Support pharmacy operations, including entering data, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and managing inventory.
• Handle administrative tasks, including cash register operations, phone calls, and clerical duties.
• Support clinical services and maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment.

Training & Personal Development:

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification, attend training, and acquire continuing education credits.
• Must be fluent in English and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in retail, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, and PTCB certification.
