Responsibilities include:
  1. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
  2. Using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coaching other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in system operation.
  3. Delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Customer Experience
  • Engaging customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure satisfaction.
  • Sharing customer service best practices to deliver excellent service, including interpersonal habits and proactive help.
  • Developing strong relationships with valuable customers.
Operations
  • Assisting in pharmacy duties under pharmacist supervision, including data entry, prescription filling, and verifying medication accuracy.
  • Reporting prescription errors immediately and adhering to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
  • Handling sales transactions, customer assistance in OTC aisles, and processing third-party claims efficiently.
  • Supporting inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Assisting in clinical services, such as sample collection, and supporting external healthcare providers and clinics.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy environment and fostering respectful coworker relationships.
  • Completing special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
  • Maintaining PTCB certification through training and continuing education, and earning certification for promotion eligibility.
  • Attending training sessions and staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
