Responsibilities include:

1. In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Certified technicians assist with and coach others in pharmacy system operation and register operation.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

• Assist in pharmacy practice under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform duties such as entering patient and drug info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and checking for interactions. Support workflow scheduling.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to error and quality policies.
• Follow Good Faith Dispensing policies during prescription activities.
• Handle sales registration, cash handling, and assist customers in locating products.
• Manage telephone inquiries, process third-party claims, and perform clerical tasks.
• Support inventory management activities, including ordering and checking shipments.
• Assist in clinical services, including sample collection and coordination of healthcare services.
• Build relationships with the medical community through outreach and detailing.
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and supplies, and ensure a professional environment.
• Follow all policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state certification. Certification may be required for promotion.
• Attend training, acquire continuing education credits, and stay updated on healthcare developments.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
