Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health Milwaukee operates with a part-time Retail Pharmacy technician role supporting licensed pharmacists in medication preparation, labeling, inventory, and data entry. Responsibilities include nonsterile compounding and IV admixture where applicable, medication distribution, and insurance/third-party billing support under supervision.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and state board registration; must obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT within 18

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy.
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed pharmacist in preparation and distribution of medications.
Select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
Assist with medication distribution and inventory control.
Handle calls and routing with proper etiquette.
Document removal, stocking, and wasting of controlled substances.
Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards; IV admixture where applicable.
Ensure storage areas comply with policies and record admissions as needed.
Support immunization certification and potential immunizations under supervision.
Operate department vehicle to deliver medications and supplies as required.
