Hours are typically 40 per week, Monday through Friday, with a mix of open/close shifts and potential weekend work. Requires state certification within 18 months and completion of required training for third‑party billing and immunizations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment.
• Must receive CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route as needed using proper telephone etiquette.
• Document medication admissions and required data into the pharmacy system.
