Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist licensed pharmacists with preparation and distribution of medications at our Wisconsin facilities.

The role involves labeling, hazardous drug handling, sterile and nonsterile compounding, and daily inventory tasks within regulatory guidelines. Immunization certification may be pursued, and training is provided. This on-site position requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification within 18 months: CPhT or ExCPT.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks.
• Screen phone calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Assist in daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
• Documentation for removal, stocking, and wasting controlled substances.
• Perform nonsterile compounding and sterile IV admixture where applicable.
• Inspect storage areas for policy adherence.
• Document medication admission histories as applicable.
