Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PA RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician upon hire.
• Lift up to 40-50 lbs and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors and staff while upholding values.
• Prepares drug orders from physicians for review and dispensing by a pharmacist.
• Replenishes Pyxis machines and monitors refrigerator temperatures.
• Counts, compounds, and repackages pharmaceuticals using established procedures.
• Dispenses medications and restocks inventory for patient areas and units.
• Performs billing/crediting functions and documents waste according to policy.
• Picks up physician orders and assists pharmacists as needed.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and restocks carts.
• Uses aseptic techniques to prepare IVs and transports them as required.
• Maintains competencies related to IV lab, Pyxis, and automation systems.
