Job summary

Responsibilities include replenishing Pyxis machines, monitoring fridge temps, IV preparation, and ensuring accurate billing and documentation for meds dispensed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician license PA at hire.
• NJ technicians must register within 180 days of hire.
• PTCB certification required within 12 months of hire or completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drug orders for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Replenish Pyxis machines and monitor refrigerator temperatures with documentation of actions.
• Count, compound and repackage pharmaceuticals following established procedures.
• Dispense medications and restock inventory; document waste and ensure billing aligns with policies.
• Perform IV preparation using aseptic techniques and transport to nursing units.
• Maintain competencies related to IV lab, Pyxis, and automation systems.
• Review inspections and ensure storage, expiry, and security standards are met.
• Assist with general duties and uphold cleanliness and organization.
