Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks a Pharmacy Technician responsible for preparing and filling medications for inpatient and outpatient services. You will support daily workflows, replenish Pyxis units, and ensure proper billing and documentation of waste.

The role requires sterile compounding experience and PA registration (RPT) and CPhT certification on hire, with strong math and QA skills. Work is on-site in a hospital setting with diverse patient care duties.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED.
2 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
1 year of sterile compounding experience.
Strong knowledge of metric system conversions and ratio calculations.
Passing score of 90% on calculation, aseptic preparation, and hazardous drugs exams.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation and filling of medications for inpatient and outpatient services.
Replenish Pyxis machines and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
Count, compound and repack pharmaceuticals per procedures.
Dispense and distribute medications to patient areas; restock inventories.
Document waste and ensure proper billing per hospital policies.
Handle physician orders and maintain clean, organized work areas.
Perform IV prep using aseptic technique and transport to nursing floors.
Maintain competencies in IV lab, Pyxis, and related automation.
