Job summary
Albert Einstein Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient and outpatient medication preparation and distribution. You will handle Pyxis replenishment, IV preparation under aseptic techniques, and ensure proper medication inventory and billing procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.
The role reports to the Pharmacy Manager and requires a PA-registered technician upon hire, with certification within 12 months.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- PA Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) upon hire.
- PTCB certification within 12 months of hire is required.
- NJ registration not applicable for PA entities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and filling of medications for inpatient/outpatient services.
- Replenish Pyxis machines and monitor refrigerator temperatures.
- Count, compound and repackage pharmaceuticals per procedures.
- Assist with IV preparations using aseptic technique.
- Support billing/crediting to ensure correct medication billing and waste documentation.
- Assist with stock/replenishment in clinical and nursing areas.
