Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the evening shift to assist in preparing and dispensing medications for inpatient and outpatient services. You will support daily workflow, replenish Pyxis, and ensure proper documentation and security of medications.

The role requires PA licensure as a Pharmacy Technician (RPT), high school diploma, and certification within 12 months; NJ registration may be required for NJ entities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician in PA upon hire.
• NJ registration within 180 days for NJ entities.
• PTCB certification within 12 months or proof of approved training.
• Active enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program exempt from certification requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications under supervision for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Replenish Pyxis machines and monitor refrigerator temperatures with documentation.
• Count, compound, and repackage pharmaceuticals using established procedures.
• Handle medication billing/crediting and document waste per policies.
• Retrieve physician orders and restock inventory across departments and nursing units.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas; support IV prep and transport.

PTCB Certification within 12 months

New Jersey Board registration within 180 days
