Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparation and filling of medications for inpatient and outpatient services, under supervision of staff pharmacists.

You will support daily workflow, stock Pyxis machines, monitor temperatures, and participate in billing and inventory. The role requires a high school diploma and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• 1 year of sterile compounding experience.
• Passing score of 90% on calculation exam, aseptic preparation exam, safe handling of hazardous drugs and practicum.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and fill medications for inpatient and outpatient use.
• Replenish Pyxis machines and restock inventory.
• Document refrigerator temperatures and corrective actions.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and staff pharmacists in daily workflow.
• Handle billing/crediting and proper medication documentation.
• Transport IVs and maintain aseptic technique.
