Avera Health in South Dakota is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician-in-Training to input medication orders under pharmacist supervision, advance toward PTCB certification, and participate in a combined didactic, simulation, and experiential education program. A two-year employment commitment is required upon program completion.

You will work to ensure accurate entry, learn medications and dosing, and support the pharmacy team in delivering safe patient care while growing professionally

Qualificações

• Must be able to work the hours specified and have the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech.

Responsabilidades

• Under pharmacist supervision, accurately inputs/prepares labels and packages medication orders and prescriptions to maintain efficient delivery.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications, calculations, regulation, and patient safety to ensure high-quality care.
• Communicates with nursing staff, physicians, customers, and team members to promote smooth operations.
• Performs clerical tasks such as billing and inventory procedures to support the medication distribution system.
