Avera is hiring for an entry-level Pharmacy Technician-in-Training to learn under pharmacist supervision in a hospital setting. It offers a clear path to Certified Pharmacy Technician certification and a two-year commitment after program completion.

The role emphasizes accurate medication preparation, labeling and packaging, inventory control, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe, effective patient care. A sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician-in-Training must be registered with the state board and pursue certification.
• Completion of Avera Pharmacy Technician Education Program preferred to prepare for PTCB certification.
• Ability to work under pharmacist supervision and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Under Pharmacist supervision, inputs and prepares labels and packages inpatient or outpatient meds to ensure accuracy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications, calculations, regulations, PPE, and patient safety to deliver quality care.
• Communicates with nursing staff, physicians, customers and teams to promote efficient medication delivery.
