Avera Health's St. Mary’s Hospital is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician in Training. Under pharmacist supervision, you will input labels, package orders, and support an efficient medication delivery system.

You are encouraged to participate in Avera Pharmacy Technician Education Program to prepare for the PTCB exam and advance to a full Pharmacy Technician role. A two-year commitment follows program completion.

Qualifications

• Must participate in and complete Avera Pharmacy Technician Education Program.
• PTCB exam after training or alternative approved certification.
• Two-year employment commitment after completing the program.

Responsabilités

• Participate in and complete Avera Pharmacy Technician Education Program to prepare for PTCB certification.
• Under Pharmacist supervision, input/prepare labels and packages inpatient or outpatient medication orders.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications, calculations, regulation, safety to ensure quality patient care.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, customers, coworkers, supervisor and management to promote patient safety.
• Perform billing and pharmacy inventory procedures to promote efficient medication distribution.
