Job summary

Avera Health is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician-in-Training to support drug preparation, storage, and inventory management. You will participate in the Pharmacy Technician Education Program and progress to a certified technician upon passing the PTCB exam, under pharmacist supervision.

The program includes didactic, simulation, and experiential learning, with a two-year employment commitment after completion. Working hours are as needed at the Integrated Services Center in Sioux Falls.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician in training and certification pathways described.
• Proficiency with medication calculations and safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Under Pharmacist supervision, input and/or prepare labels and packages for inpatient or outpatient orders.
• Maintain efficient, accurate medication delivery system.
