Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee is seeking an OR Technician to support the pharmacy satellite operations within the operating room environment. This full-time role offers a 40-hour week, primarily Monday‑Friday, with early start hours and occasional holidays or weekend overtime.

Responsibilities include assisting licensed pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, sterile and nonsterile compounding, and inventory control, while maintaining regulatory compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registration or licensure with state board of pharmacy per state of employment requirements.
• Must obtain CPhT or ExCPT within 18 months from start date.
• No work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Document medication admissions and maintain proper storage conditions.
• Perform nonsterile compounding following USP standards where applicable.
• Perform sterile IV admixture using aseptic technique where applicable.
• Support immunization activities under supervision when applicable.
• Operate department vehicle to deliver medications and supplies as needed.
