Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee's Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center outpatient pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with preparation, labeling, and distribution of medications, while assisting with inventory management and customer calls.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, state registration, and complete a pharmacy certification within 18 months; no prior experience is required. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State board registration/licensure per state of employment.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or ExCPT certification within 18 months of start date.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route using proper etiquette; document patient information and labels.
• Perform nonsterile compounding following USP standards where applicable; assist in sterile IV admixture as needed.
