Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year of pharmacy-related experience
Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing and dispensing medications according to policies and procedures.
- Accurately pick medications for automated dispensing cabinets.
- Prepare sterile products aseptically using proper techniques and maintain cleanliness.
- Fill remote orders accurately as checked by a pharmacist.
- Maintain storeroom supplies, ensure timely ordering, and remove outdated medications.
- Restock medications in automated dispensing cabinets promptly and accurately.
- Manage emergency medication inventories, including ordering, restocking, and documenting.
- Maintain medication rooms and remove expired medications.
- Empty return bins in automated dispensing cabinets weekly.
- Use the unit-dose machine for packaging medications following standard procedures.
- Perform cycle counts and maintain records.
- Keep the pharmacy clean and organized, caring for equipment.
- Conduct temperature inspections of medication refrigerators.
- Inspect medication storage areas monthly and maintain records.
- Greet and assist customers and participate in point-of-sale transactions.
- Provide customer assistance over the phone and triage calls.
- Complete work accurately and timely, ensuring quality control.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and maintain positive relationships.
- Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand most of the day, lift up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing, and manual dexterity.
- Good vision for medications, screens, and reports.
- Work in areas with dust, dirt, temperature changes, and potential chemical exposure.
