Novant Health is seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Tech I-Certified to join our hospital pharmacy team, delivering optimal medication management across all dimensions of care, every time.

Essential Functions Include
  • Filling and delivering medication orders for all age groups under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Performing non-sterile compounding and repackaging.
  • Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
  • Processing cart fills, refills to automated dispensing machines, and replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
  • Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two pharmacy skills (e.g., medication distribution, sterile compounding) required, or equivalent experience or enrollment in pharmacy school.
  • Experience in outpatient oncology or specialty pharmacy preferred.
  • Current pharmacy registry with applicable State Board(s), required.
  • PTCB or NHA Certification within 60 days of hire, or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school or equivalent, required.
  • Additional skills include strong math, communication, basic technology skills, and ability to travel between facilities.
Additional Skills Preferred

Knowledge of medication names, doses, and adverse effects; patient interview skills; inventory management experience.
