Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Port Hadlock, WA seeks a Pharmacy Technician to provide exceptional customer service, support health and wellness initiatives, and ensure safe, inclusive service in compliance with HIPAA and all laws.

You will assist pharmacists, maintain current licenses, conduct data entry and product dispensing, perform CLIA-waived screenings, and help train clerks and technicians while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HIPAA regulations adherence and policy compliance.
• Current national/state registration/cLicense or licensure as required.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities excluding professional judgement.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and the policies.
• Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or license depending on state requirements.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps accurately and efficiently.
• Support training of clerks/technicians.
• Compound medications per regulations.
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information matches records.
• Support non-dispensing services via platforms and apps.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings per laws and policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed by regulators.
• Comply with sanitation/safety regulations and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Report illegal activity including theft or fraud.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
