Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and deliver exceptional customer care in Washington. The role involves reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing while maintaining HIPAA privacy and high standards of accuracy.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, compounding medications as allowed, and conducting CLIA-waived screenings. Strong confidentiality, 18+ years old, and a national licensure or certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure required.
• Any previous comparable experience is a plus.
• Any equivalent experience of a pharmacy technician is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state and regulatory requirements.
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription information matches system records.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings in accordance with state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by regulatory bodies.
• Ensure sanitation and safety regulations are followed and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activity if observed.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
