Job summary

The Kroger family of companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness services in-store. You’ll assist pharmacists, maintain patient privacy, and ensure accurate data entry and dispensing with a strong customer-service focus.

You’ll work under HIPAA guidelines, maintain required registrations, and help deliver CLIA-waived screenings and non-dispensing services while upholding sanitation and safety standards in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain current state registrations/licenses as required.
• Assist pharmacist with responsibilities not requiring professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience through reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing.
• Support coaching of clerks and technicians.
• Compound medications per state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings per laws and policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations; report unsafe conditions.
• Report illegal activity as required.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
