Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative team. You will help build a service‑minded pharmacy team, foster relationships with patients, and support safe, accurate patient care across entry points and prescription processing.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, assisting pharmacists, maintaining a clean work environment, and handling prescription data and inventory in a compliant manner.

Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with compassion at pharmacy entry points.
• Provide safe, accurate and efficient care by assisting pharmacists and processing orders.
• Maintain neat work environment to comply with policies and regulations (HIPAA included).
• Assist team with tasks to keep the department running smoothly.
• Use pharmacy computer to perform actions for drop-off, will call, drive-thru, and order processing.
• Transcribe data from prescriptions and generate labels for customers.
• Maintain proper inventory levels by stocking and rotating medications.
