Giant Eagle, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our collaborative team.

You will help build a service conscious Pharmacy team focused on developing strong patient relationships and delivering safe, accurate, and efficient care to achieve outcomes for patients, team members, and the company. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, assisting with in-person and phone orders, maintaining a clean work environment, and using the pharmacy computer to support efficient operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Experience: 0 to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Model excellent patient care by engaging and meeting patient needs, processing orders in person and by phone, and directing questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat work environment and assist team members to ensure efficient department operation.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions for accuracy and efficiency across various tasks.
• Support in executing company initiatives and programs and complete required training.
