Job summary

Ascension Health seeks a pharmacy technician to support remote operations within Ascension Pharmacy Services. You will handle medication histories, procurement, and inventory management while supporting nuclear pharmacy services and patient assistance programs.

You will manage prior authorizations for specialty meds and coordinate with providers, payers, and internal teams. The role requires navigating multiple online systems and handling grant/foundation tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Professional licensure/certification required: PTCB or NHA credential prior to hire, and state/local licensure as applicable.
  • Education equivalent acceptable per note: HS diploma equivalency or related experience allowed.

  • Schedule: Day shift | Full-time Monday-Friday

How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Perform medication history, procurement, and inventory management; support nuclear pharmacy services and Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) as a pharmacy technician.

  • Manage specialty medications via prior authorizations and financial assistance coordination (PAPs, copay cards, and grants).

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • One or more of the following required:

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed. Must possess all state and local qualifications.

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must possess all state and local qualifications. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:
  • 1+ year experience of high-level of PAP, Grant and Foundation experience required.

  • 1+ year experience of high-level PA, PBM, FA experience required.
