Job summary

Ascension Saint Joseph in Chicago, IL is seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to support medication history, purchasing, inventory, nuclear pharmacy support, and PAP coordination.

You will refill and maintain automated dispensing systems, prepare specialty orders, package bulk medications, and receive, inspect, and store incoming pharmaceutical supplies while serving as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation required.
• PTCB credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Health career Association preferred
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to the hire date or job transfer date required.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Health career Association preferred

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable
