Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join its team. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday with Days/Evenings rotating shifts and every other weekend. Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Virginia registration as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy intern license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
• Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
• Restocks assigned areas and puts away unused medications; follows inventory procedures.
• Orders items, stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
• Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose picks for doses and floor stock.
• Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.

Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School or GED.


• Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: One (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
