Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for a full-time role with rotating Days/Evenings, Monday through Friday, and every other weekend. The position supports pharmacists in dispensing medications, restocking and inventory, and ensuring accuracy.

Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED, Virginia pharmacy technician registration or pharmacy intern license, and BLS within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or GED.
• Certification: Virginia-registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy intern license.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
• Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
• Restocks assigned areas put away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures.
• Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
• Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock.
• Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, Days/Evenings rotating shifts. Every other weekend .

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: One (1) year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
