Base pay range

$22.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Insight Global is seeking remote Pharmacy Technicians to join our healthcare client. As the Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with specialty care clinics and help to improve the specialty pharmacy experience for patients and their caregivers. An ideal candidate has experience navigating specialty medication benefits investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance. You must also be familiar with specialty medications, including medications used in autoimmune, endocrinology, and oncology.

Daily Responsibilities:

1. Complete prior authorizations
2. Source financial assistance on behalf of patients
3. Process pharmacy claims
4. Coordinate medication dispensing and shipping
5. Dispensing functions including medication ordering, labeling and ensuring proper verification is complete
6. Improve the patient experience by answering questions and requests
7. Act as a liaison between the patient, their provider and the pharmacist

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Pharmacy Technician license in state of residence
• 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Clear bagging experience
• Experience completing full-cycle prior authorizations
• Experience navigating specialty medication benefits investigations (e.g., oncology)
• Experience providing patients with financial assistance programs and/or information for cost-effective medications

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• National Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT)
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner, NextGen, etc.)
• Experience with specialty pharmacy systems (Therigy, Asembia1, ScriptMed, etc.)

Pay Range:

$22 to $30 hourly depending on experience
