Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s virtual pharmacy team. This is a fully remote opportunity for a certified Pharmacy Technician with strong prescription processing experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient support. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input, review, and verify prescription information in the pharmacy management system in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to facilitate prescription processing, fulfillment, and medication therapy management as appropriate.
  • Process and troubleshoot insurance claims, including coordination of benefits and resolution of prior authorization issues.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and payers to resolve inquiries, provide medication-related guidance, and ensure timely service.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all communications, prescription records, and workflow activities in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Monitor medication inventory levels and coordinate with distribution centers or fulfillment teams for timely restocking and shipment.
  • Support internal quality assurance efforts, audits, and process improvements related to pharmacy operations.
  • Uphold all remote work standards, including data security protocols, performance metrics, and adherence to company policies.
  • Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned by the pharmacy leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with remote, mail-order, or centralized fill pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Proficient in pharmacy information systems and technology platforms (e.g., PioneerRx, QS/1, FrameworkLTC, or similar).
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, prescription processing, third-party billing, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting established productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a secure, distraction-free home office setup.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $37,000 – $46,000 a year ($18.00 – $22.00 per hour), based on experience.
