Job summary

HealthSource of Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our full-time team in Ohio. You will greet patients, answer questions, and support the pharmacist while ensuring efficient prescription processing.

You will manage inventory, verify dosages, and enter data into our pharmacy system. A strong data-entry background with EMR, Word, and Excel is required to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient data entry with EMR, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and by phone, answering questions and directing inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, check stock, place orders, and verify receipts.
• Accurately and efficiently prepare prescription orders.
• Maintain records by filing physician orders and prescriptions.
• Verify prescription information and dosage.
• Enter patient and order information into the pharmacy system.

A day in the life of a Pharmacy Technician at HSO:

• Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist
• Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing andexpediting orders, verifying receipts, and removing outdated drugs
• Accurately and efficiently prepares prescription orders
• Maintains records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions
• Verify prescription information and dosage
• Enters patient and order information into the pharmacy system
