Job summary

HealthSource of Ohio in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and patients. You will greet customers, manage inventory, and prepare prescriptions with careful attention to accuracy and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and by phone; route to the pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory; place orders and verify receipts.
• Prepare prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
• Record and file physician orders and prescriptions.
• Verify prescription information and dosages.
• Enter patient and order details into the pharmacy system.

A day in the life of a Pharmacy Technician at HSO:

• Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist
• Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing andexpediting orders, verifying receipts, and removing outdated drugs
• Accurately and efficiently prepares prescription orders
• Maintains records by recording and filing physician’s orders and prescriptions
• Verify prescription information and dosage
• Enters patient and order information into the pharmacy system
