Job summary

Ascension’s Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy department during nights on a 7-on/7-off schedule.

You will refill automated dispensing systems, prepare orders, manage inventory, assist with sterile and non-sterile compounds, and liaison with patients and health professionals to provide information.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
• One or more of the following:
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. Non-certified incumbents hired prior to 4/30/18 are grandfathered and not required to hold certification.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. Non-certified incumbents hired prior to 4/30/18 are grandfathered and not required to hold certification.

Education
