Ascension's Mt Juliet and Hendersonville clinics seek a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Services team. You will maintain automated dispensing systems, ensure secure medication access, and assist in sterile and non-sterile compounding and repackaging according to safety standards.

You will also manage inventory, receive supplies, and ensure proper regulatory storage. Collaborate with Pharmacists to provide high-quality distributive services and maintain departmental integrity.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy within 3 months of hire.
• Certification as Pharmacy Tech with NHA required before hire date or PTCB certification.
• Note: professional licensure/certification can substitute for education/experience where applicable.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Proactively maintain automated dispensing systems to ensure seamless, secure medication access for clinical units.
• Accurately prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds and repackage medications according to strict CPhT safety standards.
• Manage the pharmacy's lifeblood by overseeing inventory, receiving supplies, and ensuring all stock meets regulatory storage requirements.
• Partner with Pharmacists to deliver high-level distributive services and maintain the technical integrity of the pharmacy department.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
• And One or more of the following Required:
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
