Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Pharmacist for the Pharmacy Services Inpatient department. This full-time, day-shift position involves reviewing medication orders, recommending formulary alternatives, and supervising compounding and delivery of medications.

The role includes precepting students and counseling patients, with collaborative work alongside physicians. Licensure with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy is required before hire, and a Bachelor's or higher

• Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

• Review and optimize medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential drug-related issues.
• Recommend formulary alternatives and provide expert drug information to medical staff and patients.
• Oversee the accurate compounding and delivery of medications while leading technical support staff.
• Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and provide clear, effective counseling to patients.
• Work directly with physicians to facilitate seamless care and provide flexible coverage across the department.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration
