Job summary

CVS Pharmacy is seeking a part-time pharmacy technician to support daily operations, fill prescriptions accurately, and deliver compassionate service to patients in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include managing assigned workstations, ensuring safety and accuracy, and complying with all regulatory requirements. Training through the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program is required, with state registration/certification completed when possible.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and meet state licensure and certification requirements as applicable.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact empathetically with customers.
• Clear verbal and written communication; active listening and asking questions when needed.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for daily prescription calculations.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Pharmacy technicians support pharmacy operations, managing workstations, filling prescriptions accurately and promptly while providing compassionate service to patients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team in filling prescriptions safely and accurately.

Provide caring service exceeding customer expectations in a fast‑paced environment.

Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and meet all required state registration, licensing, and certification requirements.

Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and maintain patient confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Licensure requirements vary by state
• Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods without distraction
• Customer Service Orientation: actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner; notice and respond to customers’ reactions appropriately
• Communication Skills: use and understand verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues; actively listen, ask questions, and avoid inappropriate interruption
• Mathematical Reasoning: use math to solve problems such as calculating a day’s supply of a prescription
• Problem Resolution: recognize problems, judge when something is wrong, and choose the best course of action in complex situations
• Physical Demands:
  • Remaining upright on feet, especially for sustained periods
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
  • Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
  • Stooping to a considerable degree, requiring full use of lower extremities and back muscles
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word; detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately
  • Perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels
  • Visual Acuity: close visual acuity required for activities such as transcribing, reading, and inspecting small parts
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs; exerting up to 30 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, or negligible force constantly to move objects

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• PTCB National Certification

Education

High‑school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

• Time Type: Part‑time
• Pay Range: $21.35 – $21.35 per hour
