Position Summary
Pharmacy Technicians at CVS Health support pharmacy operations by preparing and dispensing prescription medication, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing caring service to patients and customers.
Responsibilities
Success in this role requires managing assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks, promptly and accurately filling prescriptions, maintaining patient confidentiality, and offering high‑quality service. Technicians work in fast‑paced environments and collaborate with pharmacy managers and pharmacists.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Licensure requirements vary by state.
- Strong attention and focus; ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
- Customer service orientation; active willingness to help people in a friendly manner.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Active listening and ability to respond appropriately to customer feedback.
- Mathematical reasoning for tasks such as calculating medication supply.
- Problem resolution skills; recognition of issues and choose best action.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- PTCB National Certification.
Physical Demands
- Standing; walking; picking, pinching, typing.
- Arm and hand use; extending, bending, stooping.
- Verbal communication; hearing at normal speaking level.
- Visual acuity needed for reading, computer use, and inspection.
- Lifting up to 30 lbs occasionally.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
Anticipated Weekly Hours
20 hours per week.

Pay Range
$17.92 – $27.92 per hour.
