Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare IV admixtures and unit-dose medications for critical care and OR satellite areas. You’ll maintain stock levels and work with pharmacy staff to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and current Pharmacy Technician registration. IV admixture experience is preferred, and PTCB certification is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) with the state Board of Pharmacy required at hire.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare admixtures of medications for IV solutions.
• Prepare unit-dose syringes and chemotherapy medications.
• Compound solutions/medications for critical care and OR areas.
• Maintain adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Follow procedures, guidelines, and regulations; work with staff to document business rules and best practices.
• Perform Pharmacy Technician duties as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the admixtures of medications to IV solutions. Preparation of unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in the critical care and OR satellite areas. Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice. Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
