Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital, part of Piedmont Healthcare Inc., is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare IV admixtures, unit dose syringes, and chemotherapy medications in the critical care and OR satellite areas. The role demands accuracy, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with pharmacy and technical staff.

Required GED or high school diploma, state-registered Pharmacy Technician license upon hire, with PHRMTECH-R required and PTCB certification preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with IV admixtures preferred.
• PHRMTECH-R license required; current registration with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician upon hire.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admixtures of medications to IV solutions.
• Preparation of unit dose syringes and chemotherapy medications.
• Compounding of solutions/medications used in critical care and OR satellite areas.
• Maintaining adequate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Works with pharmacy and technical staff to define and document business rules and best practice.
• Functions in duties of a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
