CareMed Specialty Pharmacy in Houston, TX seeks a Pharmacy Technician / Inbound Care Coordinator to support patient medication delivery, billing, and service excellence. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 10:30am–7pm EST, and involves coordination with Clinical Staff Pharmacists.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for hires starting before December 31, 2026. Benefits include 401k, PTO, and tuition reimbursement; board registration and PT CBT certification are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
• PTCB Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification) required.
• Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience; 2-4 years in retail or specialty pharmacy preferred.
• Familiar with general pharmacy terminology, billing quantity, SIG codes, roman numerals, brand/generic names, IV dosage calculations/day supply.
• Board of Pharmacy registration required.

Responsabilités

• Proactively calls patients to schedule/coordinate medication delivery and handles related follow-up.
• Ensure continuity of care and timeliness of shipping orders.
• Provide excellent customer service over the phone and direct clinical inquiries to on-duty Pharmacists.
• Document patient issues in the system and escalate to appropriate staff.
• Verify prescriptions are billed per Medicare/DMEPOS regulations and that all information is on file.
