Job summary

CareMed Specialty Pharmacy in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Technician / Inbound Care Coordinator to support patient delivery and care coordination, Mon-Fri 10:30am-7pm EST. You will collect co-pays, bill prescriptions, and ensure timely shipping in a team‑oriented environment.

Starting salary from $22.00 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for hires before 12/31/2026; benefits include 401k, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and company-paid life and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or certificate in pharmacy/healthcare preferred.
• PTCB Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all prescription work assigned; calls patients to schedule/coordinate medication delivery; collects co-pays; follow-up activities.
• Ensures continuity of care and timeliness of shipping orders.
• Provides excellent customer service over the phone and directs inquiries to Clinical Staff Pharmacists when needed.
• Handles patient complaints with discretion and documents incidents in the system.
• Ensures prescriptions are billed per Medicare/DMEPOS regulations and documented on the prescription.
• Communicates information from patients, physicians, insurers, and staff to supervisors/managers.
