Job summary

Freeman Bentonville Hospital Pharmacy is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician to join the team. Under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, you will assist in preparation and distribution of medications, manage inventories including stocking auto-dispensing cabinets, packaging, extemporaneous compounding, and code cart restocking.

You will also complete patient records related to drug therapy, including protocol orders, charges and credits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified pharmacy tech program.
• National Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and distribution of all medication doses.
• Maintain drug inventories; stock auto-dispensing cabinets and perform drug packaging.
• Extemporaneous compounding and code cart restocking.
• Complete patients' drug therapy records (protocol orders, charges & credits).

What You’ll Do

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy tech assists in all pharmacy operation functions related to: preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock); and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

• Completion of certified pharmacy tech program
• National Technician Certification required.

Pharmacy PreferredExperience:

• High School diploma or GED
• 3 years hospital pharmacy technician experience
