Job summary

Freeman Bentonville Hospital - Pharmacy is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations under the pharmacist supervisor.

You will assist with medication preparation, distribution, inventory management, and patient record maintenance, including coding and billing tasks. This role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and patient safety, with benefits and opportunities through Freeman.

Qualifications

• Completion of certified pharmacy tech program.
• National Technician Certification required.
• 3 years hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and distribution of all medication doses.
• Maintain drug inventories and restock auto-dispensing cabinets and code carts.
• Support extemporaneous compounding and patient record documentation.
• Ensure accurate drug charges and credits are recorded.

What You'll Do

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy tech assists in all pharmacy operation functions related to: preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock); and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

• Completion of certified pharmacy tech program
• National Technician Certification required.

Pharmacy Preferred Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• 3 years hospital pharmacy technician experience
