Freeman Bentonville Hospital - Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. You will assist in preparation, distribution and drug inventory management, including stocking cabinets and supporting extemporaneous compounding and drug therapy records.

The role requires completion of a certified pharmacy tech program and National Technician Certification, with a preferred high school diploma or GED and hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of certified pharmacy tech program is required.
• National Technician Certification required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and distribution of all doses of medication.
• Maintain drug inventories and stock auto dispensing cabinets.
• Complete patient records pertaining to drug therapy and related protocols.

What You'll Do

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy tech assists in all pharmacy operation functions related to: preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock); and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

• Completion of certified pharmacy tech program

• National Technician Certification required.

Pharmacy PreferredExperience:

• High School diploma or GED

• 3 years hospital pharmacy technician experience
