Job summary

Freeman Health System's Springdale Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. The role supports preparation and distribution of medications, inventory maintenance, and documentation of drug therapy records.

Candidates must complete a certified pharmacy tech program, hold National Technician Certification, and have a high school diploma with about three years of hospital pharmacy experience.

About Us - Freeman Springdale Hospital -Pharmacy

Schedule: FULL-TIME

SHIFT: 2:00pm-10:30pm

May be occasionally subject to irregular hours.

What You'll Do

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy tech assists in all pharmacy operation functions related to: preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; maintenance of drug inventories ( stocking auto dispensing cabinets in the facility, drug packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock); and completions of patients records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits.

Requirements

• Completion of certified pharmacy tech program

• National Technician Certification required.

Pharmacy Preferred Experience:

• High School diploma or GED

• 3 years hospital pharmacy technician experience
