Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician at the Winston Campus for a 3rd shift, 7 on 7 off, with 10-hour shifts. 35 hours/week in a full-time role supporting pharmacists in medication preparation, labeling, and distribution.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPhT or ExCPT certification, and NC Board of Pharmacy registration within 30 days of hire. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or ExCPT required.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks.
• Screens phone calls and routes as needed; use proper etiquette.
• Assist in daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
• Document removal, stocking, and wastage of controlled substances.
• Perform nonsterile compounding and sterile IV admixture where applicable.
• Inspect storage areas for policy adherence and perform patient admission histories as applicable.
