Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Winston-Salem campus for a 3rd shift (7 on 7 off, 10-hour shifts). The role involves assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution, labeling, and inventory control.

May include nonsterile compounding and sterile IV admixtures, with immunization potential under supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPhT or ExCPT certification, and NC Pharmacy registration within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications for patients.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks.
• Screen calls and route using proper etiquette.
• Support procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking.
• Document removal, stocking, and waste of controlled substances.
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards.
• Possibly perform sterile IV admixtures.
• Ensure storage areas comply with policies.
• Record patient demographics and insurance data in the system.
