Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. Responsibilities include staff hiring, performance reviews, and ensuring accurate prescription filling while adhering to policies and regulations.

You will implement pharmacy programs, mentor staff, and drive profitability while delivering patient-centered services, including immunizations where permitted. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
CPR Certification.
3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
One year management experience (preferred).
Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies, procedures, and regulatory in the state the unit operates in.
Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
Conduct performance reviews for pharmacists and technicians.
Document and apply disciplinary actions.
Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
Implement and manage pharmacy programs for financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, and profitability.
Educate and mentor pharmacy staff to be effective team members.
Motivate team to perform at high levels.
Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
Provide clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
