Job summary

Meijer is seeking a pharmacist leader to oversee staffing, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions while ensuring safe prescription fulfillment and program execution across the pharmacy. You will mentor pharmacists and technicians, drive profitability, and ensure compliance with policies and laws.

You will also lead clinical services, immunization programs where allowed, and effective workload prioritization through strong communication and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with a Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies/procedures.
• Understanding of state regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Conduct performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions.
• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Lead pharmacy programs, including clinical services and profitability.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy staff.
• Motivate team and drive growth of the pharmacy business.
• Ensure compliance with Meijer policies and all applicable laws.
• Perform clinical services where allowed, including immunizations.
• Prioritize workload with effective communication.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
